Breakfast is a special time at the Inns. It's a chance to plan your days' adventure and to enjoy one of our specialties ... always fresh....always local! Warm mornings, guests wander out on to the garden patio for a relaxing breakfast. Cooler days bring guests into Blackberry's dining room for conversation and a romantic candlelit breakfast service.
Awaken to the aroma of our own Blackberry Inn blend of fresh, locally roasted coffee. On a summer's day early risers savor a first cup of coffee wandering through the garden, chatting with Jim and other guests as our own herbs and blackberries are harvested for the morning's entrée.
Fresh juice, followed by our "wake up" course is a healthy starter. Favorites include organic yogurt sweetened with a local honey and topped with Jim's own granola or Spiced Baked Pears with crème fraiche. Breakfast entrées change daily from a sweet to a savory and are always made with the freshest local ingredients. Entree specialties include our signature Blackberry Inn French Toast with fresh blackberry sage sauce, farm fresh goat cheese omelets with our garden herbs, Maine apple pear pancakes with brandied citrus sauce or an egg frittata with garden vegetable medley ...just to name a few! Special diets can be accommodated - just let us know ahead of time. For those days when you need to be on the road early, we are happy to package warm muffins, fresh fruit and a "to go" mug of coffee to send you on your way!
