While you are staying with us, you will want to visit several of the finest
Maine wineries and even an award winning distillery!
Just a short drive away, through the rolling hills and right along the coast
and you can savor the fruit of the vine! It’s a great day trip and we’ll
even pack you a picnic or suggest a couple of local eateries that are among
our secret favorites!
Cellardoor Vineyard in Lincolnville , ME
Just up a road is a leading pioneer of grape growing and wine making in
Maine . On 68 beautiful acres, only about two miles from the coast of Maine
, with a restored 18th century barn housing the Old World style tasting
room. Free wine tasting, cellar tours and even a hiking tour. Special events
and festivals are scheduled throughout the year.
Savage Oakes Vineyard and Winery, Union , ME
Experience a 200 year old working farm only about 20 miles from the Inn .
Stroll through the blueberry fields to the vineyard where nine varieties are
grown for their hand crafted wine. Tour the winery and enjoy the tasting
room featuring their wines of Maine grown grapes and blueberries. Plus, at
the farm, you can select a cut of their naturally raised beef and pork.
Sweetgrass Farm Winery & Distillery, Union , ME
Award-winning and right here in Midcoast Maine! Tour this unique
winery/distillery in Union’s rich traditional farm setting with panoramic
views of the Medomak River Valley . Learn about wine and spirit production.
Taste their Maine grown fruit wines, ports, brandies and spirits, including
their Back River Gin, named as one of the top 50 spirits in 2008 Wine Enthusiast!
